Barbara Prince has been appointed as Manager, Distributor Services and Content Quality at IDEA. In this role, Prince will manage the Distributor Support and Quality Control team. This new team, with nearly a combined 100 years of channel experience, has been established as part of IDEA’s ongoing effort to expand the overall Industry Data Warehouse (IDW) data quality process. Their focus will be on the development of a data certification process that will allow distributors to take IDW marketing content directly into their web stores. Prince and her team will expand distributor support functions to help customers realize all the benefits the IDW can offer. They are also responsible for sourcing new manufacturers’ data to the IDW as identified on distributor stock lists.
“I am very excited to lead this new team focused on helping our distributor customers take full advantage of the quality data they expect from the IDW,” said Prince. “Our Distributor Specialists are reaching out to customers to show them all the new features and data available in the IDW; our Digital Asset Specialist is always finding new tools to improve the quality of images and digital content; and our Data Quality Specialists are very experienced in data analysis and mining techniques.”
Prior to her new role, Prince had managed the IDW and understands the needs and challenges of both manufacturers and distributors in the electrical industry. The efforts of Prince and her team will work in conjunction with those of the IDW Data Management Specialists team, led by Susan Streich, Manager, Wholesale Data Services, to ensure continuous IDW improvement and growth.
