With the celebration of IDEA’s 20-year anniversary, eBiz attendance was higher than usual this year with 180 attendees over the three-day conference. The forum featured two general sessions with keynote speakers and engaging presentations about the future of digitization and eCommerce, and how corporate culture can cultivate enthusiasm for new ideas.
The multiple breakout sessions featured the new aspects of the upcoming IDEA Connector and IDEA Exchange, which will be released in the coming months, and the new eBusiness standards that will take effect in 2019. Attendees were able to enjoy two networking events including the Welcome Reception and a Night Out event. These networking opportunities solidified long-standing business relationships and formed new ones.
“By all accounts, eBiz was a resounding success,” said Paul Molitor, President and CEO of IDEA. He continued, “We really did live up to our motto of new thinking and new opportunities this year. Manufacturers and distributors alike were happy to compare notes, and people are looking forward to the new changes in the industry.”
“There’s definitely been a positive change this year over other years,” said Mike Wentz, Executive Vice President of IDEA. “Companies are more open to what is coming and are trying to prepare for the future, which is what eBiz is all about. Attendees are already asking if we have dates for next year.”
eBiz presentations are available on the eBiz app, “IDEA eBiz 2018” which can be found on iTunes (iPhone) and Google Play (Android.)
