IDEA Recognizes Companies Participating In The Harmonized Data Model (HDM)

Nearly 50 Distributor and Manufacturer Companies Provide Product Expertise in Show of Industry Support

Arlington, VA—The Industry Data Exchange Association, Inc. (IDEA), a leading product data provider, recognizes and expresses its appreciation for the industry support and contributions of participating task force members for the Harmonized Data Model (HDM) initiative, which is defining a unified data model in IDEA Connector. HDM enables manufacturers to easily syndicate to multiple formats and empowers distributors to provide e-commerce experiences with more consistent, normalized product data. 

Nearly 50 companies are supporting the Harmonized Data Model (HDM) development. These customer companies (20 distributors and 27 manufacturers) have provided subject matter experts (SMEs) to participate in the Product Expert Task Force to assist with product category harmonization. empowers distributors to provide e-commerce experiences with more consistent, normalized product data.
