What do you think is most valuable about the courses in the IDEA Learning Portal?

There is so much value that it’s a 3-part answer. 1st, I’d say because the courses lead to having enriched, accurate data, the Manufacturer should realize more sales as the Distributors will have more of their information to share. 2nd, the Distributors will benefit by receiving the completed data, and 3rd, the Manufacturer entering the data learns more about their products and what attributes are required in the industry. It’s a win-win-win.

What would you say to a colleague to encourage them to take advantage of the IDEA Learning Portal offerings?

I would say, DO IT! It’s marvelous. The content is so well-written and easy to follow that it’s actually a fun course! It is broken up into smaller sections, so you never have the feeling that you have to set aside hours of blocks of time to jump in; you can jump in even for 15 minutes at a time and truly make a difference for your company. I would recommend having the learning portal open while having your own Connector page up and doing everything on the portal as you go along. It’s a significant refresh to your information, and you can learn better by having the hands-on experience at the same time.

Any other comments that would be helpful to highlight about you and/or your company?

Intermatic takes product data seriously.  We have made significant investments in ensuring that our data is accurate, up to date and readily available.  Our enrichment process includes a close collaboration between our product management team, engineering team and data syndication team.  We continue to improve by leveraging our PIM and DAM systems to provide enhanced product attributes, 360 images, videos, and technical documentation – all with the end customer’s needs in mind. 

I have been with the company for 26 years and am incredibly happy with the way they treat their employees and that they genuinely care about the quality of their products and their data. I am proud to be a part of this team!
